Hydroseeding Taharoa Ironsands

Taharoa Ironsands enlisted our services to revegetate the sandy area surrounding a newly constructed helicopter landing pad. Given the site’s exposure to constant rain and wind from the Tasman Sea, we applied Hydro 1000 with ample tackifier to secure the sand while the Rye/Clover and Kikuyu seed mix germinated. Using the large cannons on top of the hydroseeder, combined with some favourable tailwinds, we were able to achieve coverage up to 60-70 metres, ensuring effective stabilisation in this challenging environment.
