Revegetation in the Chimpanzee Enclosure at the Hamilton Zoo

Hydroseeding, Erosion Control, Builders/developers, Landscape Contractors

Hamilton City Council contracted us to revegetate 3,200 m² of the upgraded chimpanzee enclosure at Hamilton Zoo within a tight three-week timeframe. We applied a Flexterra/Hydro 1000 mulch blend with Rye/Clover seed, which germinated in just seven days, providing excellent ground cover in time for the enclosure’s opening. Despite limited access due to ongoing gate installations, we successfully completed the job by using an 80-metre hose to cover all the earthworks, ensuring the site was ready on schedule for its very special inhabitants.
