Waikato Expressway – Proganics and Flexterra Hydroseeding

Working with Anchor Loc and CityEdge Alliance, Lawn & Turf stabilised a section of the new Waikato Expressway in Tamahere. The process began with the application of ProGanics Biotic Soil Media (BSM), an ideal solution for hard-to-reach areas and regions with little to no topsoil. Two hydroseeding tanks of ProGanics (equal to 36 truckloads of soil) were applied at a rate of 7,000 kg/ha to deliver a sterile, weed-free growing medium to ensure proper revegetation. Following the ProGanics application, we hydromulched the area with Flexterra FGM (Flexible Growth Medium). This product is a market leader for its performance and is ideal for use on steep gradients, swale drains or other challenging areas that require revegetation. Flexterra was applied at a rate of 3,000 kg/ha, with Poa Imbecilla, Rye/Clover seed mix, and DAP fertiliser to promote rapid growth.
