Breathing Life into the Te Puke Bridge Replacement

Project in Brief

We’ve just hydromulched the steep embankments of the new Te Puke Bridge in the Bay of Plenty—precision ground preparation and ProGanics® Biotic Soil Media ensure a lush, erosion-resistant slope that thrives year-round.

Key Steps

  • Terrain Shaping: Fulton Hogan Civil graded and compacted the embankment for optimal seed-to-soil contact.
  • Soil Amendment: ProGanics® Biotic Soil Media was applied to enhance moisture retention, nutrient delivery and soil structure.
  • Hydromulching: A bespoke slurry of grass seed, biotic media and natural tackifiers was sprayed uniformly to promote rapid germination, lock down soil and feed vegetation.

Team Triumph

Credit to James and Cameron for safely mastering the steep terrain and achieving flawless coverage.
