Aotea Slip Erosion Control

This project was carried out for Otorohanga District Council, who required erosion control for the Aotea Rd slip in the Kawhia/Aotea area. We used Hydro 1000 hydraulic mulch @ 2500kg/ha, rye clover seed at 400kg/ha and fertiliser @ 400kg/ha to stabilise and revegetate the site. We used the cannon gun from the top of the hydroseeder to spray the slip face and fully stabilise the slip. The photos show the site before and then 18 months later with successful revegetation.
