St Kilda Total Lawn Renovation
Hydroseeding, Ground Preparation, Irrigation, Lawn Care, Landscaping
Every great lawn starts long before the seed goes down.
After meeting with our client on site to discuss their vision and come up with a plan and price, we got to work on Stage 1 of this project back in May.
We find there is a big difference in germination of seed based on the preparation of the site before we Hydroseed. Before we even think about putting seed on the ground we start with two site sprays, typically 3-4 weeks apart, to kill off the existing lawn and most of the time weeds.
- Installed a new irrigation system to give the lawn the best possible start.
- Rotary hoed and levelled site
- Imported and spread topsoil; we ideally aim for 200mm of topsoil while preparing; however, this differs depending on what is already on site and what the client is happy with.
- Final level and tiller of the lawn with the tractor and final preparation to create an ideal seedbed ready for Hydroseeding.
With everything in place, we completed Stage 1 of this project with Hydroseeding 1150m2 of Stadia Rye.
The time spent on preparation and irrigation is what helps with the overall germination and health of your new lawn.
