This is a hard wearing, rough dark green grass with a broad flat leaf, that is also drought tolerant. It forms a thick sward of grass that copes well in high traffic areas and is great for kids to play on. This grass can only be established from September through to early May.
Tall fescue is very deep rooted and requires less water than other lawns through the summer months. This lawn does take longer to establish than other lawns and will require regular weed control and fertiliser to establish the turf. However, it is shade tolerant and is less susceptible to damage from insects and grubs.
